Note: Andrew Stevenson all his days was a lover of flowers. Despite the bad weather which prevailed in Burnfoothill he grew many pansies. He created many new strains and named them after members of his family and friends in the local community.at some time in his life he sent seeds to a pansy grower in Dunedin New Zealand and for many years after his death his granddaughter Mae Glen(Wylie) Kept in touch with this gentleman. During the second World War when fruit was scarce the Stevenson family received boxes of fruit from him. At recent flower shows a few of his srtains still exist.
